Jaume Figueras, born in 1974, graduated in Computer Science in 1998. He conducts research in automatic control and computer simulation and optimization. He has designed and developed CORAL, an optimal system for sewer networks applied in Barcelona (Spain); PLIO, an optimal control and planning system for the production and distribution of drinking water, applied in Santiago de Chile (Chile) and Murcia (Spain). He is currently involved in various industrial projects, such as optimizing the energy consumption of tram lines in Barcelona, in collaboration with TRAM and SIEMENS, and developing tooPath (http://www.toopath.com), a free web system for tracking mobile devices. He is also the local representative of OSM (http://www.openstreetmap.org) in Catalonia and participates in various FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) projects.
