María Paz Linares is an associate professor in the Department of Statistics and Operations Research at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). She holds a degree in Mathematics from the same university and a Master’s in Logistics, Transportation, and Mobility, with a final project focused on the vehicle routing problem with backhaul customers. In 2014, she obtained her Ph.D. in Statistics and Operations Research (UPC) with a thesis centered on dynamic traffic assignment models based on mesoscopic simulation. Since 2005, she has worked as a traffic researcher in the PROMALS research group, participating in projects related to the development of simulation models and their application to the optimization of traffic and transportation problems. Additionally, she has collaborated on various research projects for public administration and the private sector, and has presented her work at several international conferences.
