Tomàs Aluja has been a teacher at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (BarcelonaTech) since 1983. He was the director of the Department of Statistics and Research at the UPC. Its main areas of research focus on the methodological aspects of multivariate analysis and data mining, including its implementation software and particularization of the creation of consumer profiles, definition of commercial objects, merging of sets data Different data (questionnaires or official registers) that share a set of variables through models integrated through PLS-PM models.
To date, more doctoral theses have been reviewed and 65 articles published in scientific journals with a book chapter are authorized: Main component analysis and segmentation of PATHMOX for the modeling of PLS-PM. He normally teaches the classes of Multivariate Analysis and Data Mining of the Faculty of Computer Science of Barcelona and the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics of the UPC.
