Ernest Teniente, doctor of the Politechnical University of Catalonia, is a professor at the Department of Information Technology and Services Engineering at this university. He has also been a visiting researcher at the Polytechnic of Milan and the University of Rome Tre. He has been active in the fields of software engineering and databases for more than twenty years.
He conducts research studies on conceptual modeling, automated reasoning in conceptual schemas, database upgrade problems and data integration. He is the author of more than 60 scientific publications in international conferences and magazines in the fields of software engineering and databases. On a regular basis, he is invited to be part of the program committees of these international conferences. He has coordinated several research projects at the local and national level, as well as collaborating regularly with international research groups.
His experience as a teacher includes undergraduate and postgraduate subjects on analysis and design of software, engineering of requirements and advanced databases. He supervised students at all levels: degree, postgraduate and doctorate.
